Day 02 : Chennai / Kanchipuram / Mahabalipuram
The day begins with a trip to Kanchipuram, located around 80 kms away from Chennai, which is famous for the presence of a number of revered temples of India which includes temples like the Ekambeshwara temple, Varadaraja Temple and Kailasanatha Temple.

These include Auroville and a number of the other tourist attractions of Pondicherry. Arrangements will be made for your stay at the reputed Hotel Pondicherry, where you can rest till the afternoon. The afternoon is spent visiting the Aurobindo Ashram, while another trip is arranged to the old city of Pondicherry, where you can get a taste of the rich cultural heritage left behind by the French.

Famous for a spectacular church, the city is considered to be one of the holiest cities of Tamil Nadu.

Day 6 : Tanjore / Trichy / Madurai

The day begins with a visit to the famous Rock fort Temple and the revered temple of Sriranganathar at Srirangam. We next travel to Madurai where we can get a glimpse of the Museum, the famous Madurai Meenakshi Temple and the Nayak Palace besides a number of other major tourist sites in the city. We return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 7 : Madurai / Rameshwaram / Madurai

We travel to the city of Rameshwaram today, which is around 180 kms away from Madurai. Revered for being the place where a number of holy water bodies meet, Rameshwaram is considered to be one of the holiest cities of Tamil Nadu. We return to Madurai where we spent the night.

Day 8 : Madurai / Kanyakumari

The day begins with a trip to Kanyakumari where you can visit the famous temples of Kanyakumari, including the revered Krishnapuram Temple. This is followed by an afternoon visit to the statue of the great poet Tiruvalluvar, who is regarded by most Tamilians as one of the greatest sons of the land. The day ends with a visit to the Vivekananda Memorial, which is regarded as the “land’s end” for India, after which you return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 9 : Kanyakumari / Chennai

The last day of the tour sees you on your way back home through Chennai, where you can catch the most convenient transport for your home destination.
