Visakhapatnam Borra Simhachalam Tour

Day 01: Arrival at Visakhapatnam
Met on arrival at Visakhapatnam airport and warmly received. Transfer to hotel. Relax in the pleasant comfort of the hotel.

In the afternoon we will take you to the Vuda Park, also called Taraka Rama Park, located on the exotic golden beach.

The lovely flowers and manicured lawns here will mesmerize you. You can also avail of the swimming and boating facilities furnished at this park.

We will then visit the Museum, also known as Dutch Bungalow. This museum is one of the rare ones of its sort in India which is situated in a heritage building.

This is followed by a visit to the huge Port of Visakhapatnam. It has been a top ranking port in India since 2000-2001. Overnight at Vizag.

Day 02: Full Day Excursion to Borra Caves

Full day sightseeing tour of Borra Caves, a million year old ancient cave sprawling over an area of around 2 sq km.

This limestone caves bears all features of limestone topography, especially its breath-taking Stalagmites & Stalactites.

You will also witness the tribal culture here as the entire area around Borra Caves is populated with tribals.

Later we shift to the picturesque Araku Valley, decked with dense forests, gushing waterfalls, undulating terrain and orchards.

We then proceed to Rishikonda Beach, an ideal place to unwind with its golden sands, sun and waves. Spend the night at Vizag.

Day 03: Excursion to the Simhachalam Temple
After breakfast, we will guide you to the Simhachalam Temple, 18 km from Vizag.

At the temple of Simhachalam or the hill of the lion, you will find the idol of Varaha Lakshminarasimha, which looks like Shivalingam covered with sandalwood paste.

Only once in a year, during Chandana Visarjana, is this paste removed. It is said that the image of Narasimha is so fierce that it is kept covered from public view by applying the paste.

Return in the afternoon. Transfer to Airport/Railway Station for your onward journey.
